Thomas Jefferson National Accelerator Facility (TJNAF) is a national user facility for nuclear science using continuous beams of high-energy electrons to discover the underlying quark and gluon structure of nucleons and nuclei. TJNAF has 1,600 users, about half of which are actively engaged in experiments at a given time.
TJNAF is located in Newport News, Virginia, and consists of 65 buildings.
