System Status

System Status Explanations

Normal:
The system is fully operational.


System Down:
Most problems will be temporary. Try accessing the system again in 15 minutes.

Scheduled Maintenance:
Periodically FDA Industry Systems will need to undergo maintenance and upgrades. All scheduled maintenance will take place on Saturdays 3AM-8AM Eastern Time (Saturday 8AM-1PM GMT) If you are having trouble accessing FDA Industry Systems during that time, please try again after 8AM Eastern Time on Saturday (1 PM GMT).

Submission of Prior Notice to FDA for Articles of Imported Food During Periods when ABI/ACS is Not Operational

If necessary, contact the FDA Industry Systems Help Desk.


If you can't access the system even though Status is reported as Normal.

October 2, 2004: The system was unavailable due to a system upgrade from approximately 3:00 am to 8:30 am EDT.

September 22, 2004: PNSI was unavailable due to technical problems from approximately 3:00 pm to 5:30 pm EDT.

September 18, 2004: The system was unavailable due to a system upgrade from approximately 3:00 am to 5:30 am EDT.

September 13, 2004: The Customs and Border Protection ACS system was down from approximately 3:00 pm to 5:15 pm EDT.

August 21-22, 2004: The system experienced intermittent problems from approximately 4:30 pm to 1:00 am EDT.

August 7, 2004: The system was unavailable due to a system upgrade from approximately 3:00 am to 10:30 am EDT.

July 10, 2004: The system was unavailable due to a system upgrade from approximately 3:00 am to 7:30 am EDT.

June 23, 2004: There was a short duration outage (less than 1 hour) due to technical problems. We are working on trying to resolve this issue.

June 15, 2004: The system was experiencing intermittent network problems.

June 5, 2004: The system was unavailable due to a system upgrade from approximately 3:00 am to 8:00 am EDT.

May 26, 2004: Network problems resulted in slow responses by the system from approximately 10:00 am to 11:00 am EDT.

May 25, 2004: The system was down due to a system failure from approximately 11:30 pm EDT May 25, 2004 until 4:00 am EDT May 26, 2004

May 15, 2004: An intermittent system login issue that occured when attempting to log into the FDA Industry Systems was resolved.

April 25th and 26th 2004: The PNSI System was down due to technical difficulties for over 12 hours.

April 17, 2004: The PNSI System was down for maintenance on Saturday, April 17, 2004 from 3:00 am to 8:00 am EDT.

February 28, 2004: The FDA Industry Systems for Food Facility Registration and Prior Notice were down for maintenance on Saturday, February 28, 2004 from 2:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon EST.

December 12, 2003 12:01 am EST: Prior Notice System Interface went online.

November 12, 2003 11:30 am EST: Earlier problems with slow response time have been resolved. Thank you for your patience.

November 12, 2003 1:45 am EST: Users may experience very slow response times. We are aware of the problem and are currently working to resolve this. We anticipate a return to normal operations within a few hours. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

November 10, 2003 12:40 am EST: Electrical power was restored.

November 10, 2003 11:42 am EST: Due to an electrical power outage, the FDA Industry Systems for Food Facility Registration is currently down. We anticipate the system will be back up in several hours. Please check this status page for further updates. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

November 7, 2003
Patches were applied to the system on November 6, and at this time we believe the timeout problem has been resolved.

October 31, 2003
The majority of registrations are completing successfully; however, there are a number of customers with slower internet access who are experiencing a timeout which is less than 30 minutes. We have identified the source of this problem and are working on a solution. Please check back to determine the status of this problem.
