Media Advisory Federal executives to hold telephone press conference to
discuss the 2004 draft biological opinion being released today, Thursday, Sept. 9
PORTLAND, Ore. -
Federal executives from NOAA Fisheries, the Bonneville Power Administration, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation will conduct a conference call for reporters today, Thursday, Sept. 9 to answer questions concerning the Federal Columbia River Power System Draft Biological Opinion being released today.
What:
NOAA Fisheries has prepared a draft biological opinion that addresses issues raised by the United States District Court in Portland, Ore., in June 2003. The draft biological opinion includes measures to protect Endangered Species Act-listed salmon and steelhead.
