In order to view the video clips in both of the above sections, you need appropriate software loaded on your computer. While not endorsing any specific product, one that will work is Microsoft's Windows Media Player. It is possible you already have it. To get it for various browsers and platforms at no charge, go to www.microsoft.com/windows/mediaplayer/en/default.asp and click on the download link.

Please be aware that the quality of streaming video is somewhat diminished, so that in return you can see the video clip almost immediately. However, if your Internet connection is slow (less than 56K), there may be "thinning" of the video during the playback. If you miss a section, you can scroll to the approximate place and replay the stream. You can also try exiting your player and reloading it again from the web site, which sometimes plays a missing section. To minimize "thinning", increase the buffering of your player to the highest setting (for Windows Media Player, go to View, then Settings, then Windows Media Source Filter, and put 30 seconds in for the buffer). The quality of the mpeg clips is higher, but at a cost of significantly greater download times.

If your viewer is not configured so that your browser automatically launches it when encountering a mpeg file, you may have to enter the following into the (Helper) Application, External Viewer, Program/File Type, or equivalent Preferences or Options section of your Web Browser:

MIME type/subtype: video/mpeg
Extensions: mpeg mpg mpe
Application: [viewer name]

You may need to have the complete path to the mpeg viewer. An example of what to put in for [viewer name] above is c:\windows\mplayer.exe if you have the version that comes with Windows 95.
