Abstract

The Gerontology Center of the Scripps Foundation at Miami University was established in 1972 for the purpose of contributing knowledge essential for meeting the challenges of an aging society. Scripps seeks to achieve its mission through three interdependent functions: research and scholarship; education and training; and professional service. In conjunction with the Department of Sociology and Gerontology Master of Gerontological Studies (MGS) degrees are offered. Scripps also offers short-term training programs (such as conferences and workshops).

Publications

The Center develops and publishes research reports on a variety of aging-related topics.
