Abstract

A component of the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Planning and Evaluation, within the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, this office is responsible for developing, analyzing, evaluating and coordinating HHS policies and programs which support the independence, productivity, health and long-term care needs for children, working age adults and older persons with disabilities. The Office is also responsible for policy coordination and research to promote the economic and social well-being of the elderly.
