Interferometry is a technique that combines the light collected by multiple telescopes to greatly increase the level of detail that can be seen. The Keck Interferometer links the two 10-meter Keck telescopes on Mauna Kea, Hawaii - the largest optical telescopes in the world - and has the resolving power to see a quarter in New York from Los Angeles. This presentation will describe the Keck Interferometer and present highlight s of its astrophysical discoveries, ranging from observations of young stars to the centers of galaxies millions of light-years from Earth.
