Navigating the Site

The top navigation bar will provide you with the following features that will assist you with navigating the IWRP web site:

• Home - Select this feature from anywhere in the IWRP web site to return to the Home page.
  
• Search IWRP - Select this enhanced feature to search the IWRP database for your desired document or information.
  
• Resources - Select this feature for a list of other helpful web sites and news links.
  
• Help - Select this feature if you need guidance on navigating the web site or searching the database.
  
• Contact Us - Select this feature to voice questions, concerns and/or comments regarding the IWRP web site.
  
• MARAD - Select this feature to go to the DOT, Maritime Administration web site.
  
• DOT - Select this feature to go to the Department of Transportation web site.

Browse All IWRP Database

From the SEARCH page:

• Click on the 'Browse Database' icon to view all records in the database.
  • To browse items beginning with a specific alpha letter, click on the letter from the 'Browse by letter:' section, or click on '123..' to view all items beginning with numerals.

Search IWRP Database

From the SEARCH page:

• Enter search terms in the field labeled 'Search For:'.
  
• Select one or more categories to narrow your search to keywords, authors, titles, or all.
  
• Select a period to search within a range of years.
  
• Enter a 4-digit year to search for all records from a specific year.
  
• Click on the 'Search IWRP' icon to begin search.
  

From the ADVANCED SEARCH page:

• Enter search terms in one or all of the field(s) labeled as 'Search:'.
• Narrow your search by selecting from the drop-down list of boolean operators 'AND, OR, NOT'.
• Choosing the AND operator will search for records that contain both of the terms you indicate.
• Choosing the OR operator will search for records that contain either of the terms you indicate.
• Choosing the NOT operator will search for records that contain the first search term, and do not contain the second search term(s).
• Further narrow your search by choosing a search period according to year.
• Use the record set drop-down selection to indicate how many records you want your search to display. This is recommended for results sets that contain 50 or more records.

Add / View / Empty Basket

From the SEARCH RESULTS page:

• Compile a personalized basket of items of interest by selecting its 'add to basket' checkbox and click on the 'Add Checked Items to Basket' button.
• Click on the 'View Basket' button to view your personalized basket.
• Click on the 'Empty Basket' button to empty your personalized basket.

Subscriber List

From the IWRP HOME page:

• Click on the 'Subscriber List' link.
• Enter a valid email address and your full name (optional) in the appropriate boxes.
• Before this data can be submitted, you must check the box that states you agree with terms to authorize IWRP to send you periodic emails of updates.
• If you ever wish to have your name removed from the Subscriber List, please follow the removal instructions that will accompany all emails sent from IWRP.
