Association of Maternal and Child Health Programs, 2005 Annual Conference -- Delivering Results: Improving Pregnancy and Birth

The Association of Maternal and Child Health Programs (AMCHP) 2005 will address the public health aspects of pregnancy and childbirth, including the prevention of prematurity, provider training, parent education, data systems and tools, best practices, and racial and ethnic disparities in birth outcomes. Participants will also learn about emerging trends and best practices from a broad range of maternal and child health issues.

This year, the conference will highlight the public health aspects of pregnancy and childbirth — including reproductive health, racial and ethnic disparities in infant mortality, health services for pregnant women and newborns, provider training, public insurance programs, data systems and tools, and best practices. Sessions will examine the challenges and opportunities for public health professionals to improve pregnancy and birth. Participants will also discuss a broad range of maternal and child health issues.
