Operator Performance and Safety Analysis Division

Welcome to the Operator Performance and Safety Analysis Division (OPSAD), DTS-79. The division resolves problems across all transportation modes by performing research to analyze the relationship between human behavior and transportation safety and productivity.

The division has an on-site laboratory, The Center for Human Factors Research in Transportation, operated collaboratively with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
