Business Partner Network Support Environment (BPNse)

The message below was sent via an email from the CCR Program Operations Office. If you did not receive this email, please contact Peggy Lockwood (peggy.lockwood@dla.mil) or Thresa Cameron (thresa.cameron@dla.mil) to add your name to our communications list.

CCR is in the process of transitioning to the new Business Partner Network Support Environment (BPNse). This change will affect the address in which you currently obtain your CCR extracts.

The new IP and web address will be sent in a future e-mail. Please take the time now to prepare for the necessary changes to your systems. The anticipated timeframe for the transition is late May early June.

Additionally, DLA directive for Secure FTP was implemented on 1-1-2004. Regular FTP will no longer work. Customers will need software that is SSH 2 protocol compliant. Some users may already have compliant software. If not, the following free software is SSH 2 protocol complaint: "PUTTY" for tel-neting and "psftp" for FTPing. This free client software will work with our Secure Shell Server software.

PUTTY and psftp can be downloaded from the following URL:

http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/putty/download.html

We are proposing eliminating the double encryption - Secret Agent plus Secure FTP (SFTP). Secret Agent is now redundant; the requirement to encrypt can be met by SFTP alone.

Prior to this cutover we will make an attempt to contact each of you via telephone to answer any additional questions that you may have.

A few of you are currently receiving the old Standard CCR Extracts from Public (Dir1), Proprietary (Dir2), Sensitive (Dir3)

     CCRccyyddd.zip and CCRRccyyddd.zip

We encourage you to review the CCR Master Extracts and consider moving to one of them. They provide more data and are preferred by most CCR data users. File layouts of the Master Extracts can be found at: http://www.ccr.gov/ccrextracts.asp

If you are no longer the contact point for CCR extracts please send me the correct name, email address, and telephone number of the individual now responsible. If you no longer require access to the CCR extracts please let us know that as well.

You may send an e-mail to Peggy Lockwood or Thresa Cameron if you have any questions.

Thank you.
