NCUA Issues 2005 Board Meeting Schedule

Alexandria, VA, September 2, 2004 -- The National Credit Union Administration Board today announces its 2005 meeting schedule. The Board plans to convene at 10 a.m. the second or third Thursday of each month (except August when the Board historically does not meet) on the following dates in 2005:

January 13
February 17
March 17
April 14
May 19
June 16
July 21
September 15
October 20
November 17
December 15

Credit union officials, trade groups, media and the general public are invited to attend open meetings of the NCUA Board to witness the discussion and decision-making process that affects the vast majority of the nation’s credit unions and NCUA operations.

The National Credit Union Administration is the independent federal agency that regulates, charters, and supervises federal credit unions. NCUA, with the backing of the full faith and credit of the U.S. government, also operates and manages the National Credit Union Share Insurance Fund (NCUSIF), insuring the deposits of over 83 million account holders in all federal credit unions and the majority of state-chartered credit unions.
