NCUA Reschedules January 2005 Board Meeting

Alexandria, Va., September 7, 2004 -- The National Credit Union Administration has rescheduled its January 2005 Board meeting from January 20 to Thursday, January 13. The January 13 open meeting will convene at 10 a.m. The entire 2005 NCUA Board meeting schedule is available online at http://www.ncua.gov/NCUABoard/Calendars/board_calendar/board_calendar.html.

Credit union officials, trade groups, media and the general public are invited to attend open meetings of the NCUA Board to witness the discussion and decision-making process that affects the vast majority of the nation’s credit unions and NCUA operations.

The National Credit Union Administration is the independent federal agency that regulates, charters, and supervises federal credit unions. NCUA, with the backing of the full faith and credit of the U.S. government, also operates and manages the National Credit Union Share Insurance Fund (NCUSIF), insuring the deposits of over 83 million account holders in all federal credit unions and the majority of state-chartered credit unions.
