Welcome to the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service's Chicago Illinois Field
Office web site. We serve six counties (Cook, DuPage, Kane, Lake, McHenry,
and Will) in the metropolitan area of northeastern Illinois.
As an Ecological Services Field Office, we provide assistance to Federal
and State agencies, local governments, businesses, and the general
public.
Our program areas and services include Education and
Outreach,
Endangered Species, Federal Projects and
Permits, Environmental Contaminants,
Habitat Restoration, and
