Notes on Regulatory Guides:
- A guide number is composed of the division number followed by a period and a sequential number in that division (e.g., 1.25). A guide is further identified by revision numbers, as appropriate, and the date of issuance and, sometimes, its ADAMS Accession Number (an "ML" number in parentheses).
- A draft regulatory guide presents guidance that is issued for public comment while being developed. Comments are considered before finalizing the guide. Some draft guides are proposed revisions of existing guides.
- A draft guide number is composed of DG followed by a hyphen, the division number, and a sequential number in that division (e.g. DG-1070). A draft is sometimes identified by its ADAMS Accession Number (an "ML" number in parentheses).
- A guide available at this site has an underscored number.*
- Each division lists the titles of all the regulatory guides and all the draft guides.
