Summary Data Quality Reports

The Summary Data Quality Reports provide selected statistical indicators of data quality in the Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System (BRFSS). The reports present data on general types of measures by state, such as:

  • Outcome measures, including response rates, which are based on disposition codes.
  • Selection biases with respect to gender, age, and race/ethnicity.
  • Missing values on income.

The measures in this report are designed to document the quality of BRFSS data. “Data quality” in these reports refers to the accuracy of BRFSS data.
