Implementation Team

The Gulf of Mexico strategy looks at significant environmental issues in the region and bases project endorsement upon the following types of environmental restoration work: habitat degradation; coastal and shoreline erosion; pollution related to toxic substances and pesticides; nutrient enrichment; alterations to water flow and declining living aquatic resources. The Florida Aquarium and the Texas State Aquarium are both part of the Coastal America Coastal Ecosystem Learning Center network in the Gulf region.
