Habitat Restoration/Protection Wetlands River systems Beaches/Dunes Offshore areas Mangroves Assisting Species at Risk Pollution Mitigation Non-Point Source Pollution Other (describe)
There are three structures on Cathance Stream which are in need of repairs or modifications. The structure at the stream's outlet is leaking and the Denil fishway is inoperable. The second structure, located just below route 86, is a Denil fishway which provides fish passage upstream of the ledges at Marion Falls. The third structure is at the water control structure forming Great Works flowage. The current fishway design lends itself to debris collection. The trapped debris hinders fish migration and oftentimes causes damage to the fishway. This structure is in need of modifications which will eliminate debris collection.
