Medicare.gov Site Viewing Tips
Browsers
Certain areas of Medicare.gov are best viewed by using recent versions of Internet browsers. If you are using an older browser version, you may have trouble viewing the Medicare Search Tools. You can find out what version of your browser you are using by choosing "Help" at the top of your browser and "About (your browser)".
Viewing Medicare.gov will work best if you are using the following browser versions or their equivalent if you use a different browser software than those listed below:
Internet Explorer 6 (Note: You can download for free at
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/ )
Netscape 7 (Note: You can download for free at
http://home.netscape.com/computing/download.)
Monitor Setting
The Medicare.gov website is best viewed by setting your monitor resolution to 800 by 600. For example, in Windows you would check your monitor resolution by selecting the "My Computer" icon; then the "Control Panel" icon, then the "Display" icon; then the "Settings" tab. The "desktop area" will list your monitor resolution setting.

Links
Any underlined word or words on Internet pages are links to other pages. You
can use your mouse to point the arrow onto a particular underlined word(s) and
click. Doing so will take you to another page on that topic.
We have provided a "Printable-Version" link on all pages of Medicare.gov. The "Printable Version" feature removes the top, left, bottom, and right tool bars and reformats the page so you can fit more text on each page when printing. You can leave the "Printable-Version" page by using the "back" button on your browser, or by clicking on the "Return to Previous Page" link.
Screen Reader Version
The screen reader version is a feature that allows people who are blind or
visually impaired access to the website. The screen reader device is designed to read
text on every page.
Once you select screen reader, you will remain there throughout the rest of your session.
This allows users who are blind or visually impaired continued access to the site,
without having to select Screen Reader on every page they access. To exit out of
Screen Reader, click on the "Return to non-screen reader version" link at top left corner
of the page.
