New Office Stands-up 1 July 2004 to Execute Force Development

The Force Management and Analysis Division, AFPC/DPAF, stood-up 1 July 2004 at the Air Force Personnel Center. The division is responsible for executing the Air Force’s force development policies, the point of contact for career field managers regarding force development, and provides assistance to the development teams.

Developmental Teams (DTs) Conclude Summer Meetings

DTs met June – August to review officers records. The DTs selected officers for AY 06 developmental education and squadron command in their respective functional areas. The officers selected for developmental education will be forwarded to the Developmental Education Designation Board in October with results scheduled to be released NLT the end of October.

New Standardized Developmental Team (DT) Meeting Schedule

DTs meet 2-3 times a year to conduct business. They meet at different times of the year to select officers for developmental education, squadron command, and vector officers into developmental assignments. DTs will now meet during specific times of the year. DTs will select officers for developmental education, and squadron command during June thru August, and vector officers into developmental assignments during November thru December and during March thru April.

Having A Current T-ODP On File is Critical

It is critical officers have a current T-ODP on file in the system. The Developmental Teams (DTs) and assignment officers (AOs) utilize this important document to help determine developmental assignments and developmental education opportunities. Without this document the DTs and AOs do not know the wishes of the officer and the direction from their chain of command. During the Summer DT cycle which just concluded it was noted that numerous officers did not have a current T-ODP in the system for review.
