Irgun
Zvai Leumi, Irgun for short, and also known as the American
League for a Free Palestine, Incorporated, is a group of Americans
that support the terrorists in Palestine. Haganah, as it was
first known, remains as the defense army of the Jewish Agency
started in 1919, with the Irgun group breaking with Haganah
in the mid 1930's. Both groups were viable in the United States.
At one time, Menachen Beigin was the head of the Irgun movement
in Palestine, or Israel as it is called today. In 1949, Irgun
was officially dissolved and the group became known simply
as the Freedom Movement.
