What's New On CRP?

New In addition to research grants, contracts and intramural projects for Fiscal Year (FY) 2003, the Portfolio now includes all FY 2004 extramural research grants that were coded to disease site and CSO as of August 2004. Clinical Trials are also current through August 2004. Previous fiscal years are available from the Advanced Search page. For more information, please refer to Current and Historical Data on the CRP.

Using the Advanced Search feature, visitors to the site can search NCI's entire portfolio by specific cancer site, scientific research category, state, institution, funding mechanism and fiscal year.

Welcome to the most comprehensive, easy to use source of information about current NCI-supported research! The Cancer Research Portfolio, an online tool created by NCI, contains current and historical information on NCI-supported research, including research project grants, contracts, clinical trials and intramural studies. The site includes data beginning in Fiscal Year 1998.

Using the Portfolio, users can search, browse, and sort NCI-supported research in ways never possible before. For example...

  • Research scientists can more easily identify scientists doing similar work, as well as contacts for multidisciplinary research and collaborations.
  • Cancer patients and advocates can see exactly what NCI is funding related specifically to their disease.
  • Congressional staff can view cancer research supported in their State.
  • Science policy advisors and NCI staff can use this tool to assess the current state of cancer research to facilitate cancer-research planning and resource allocation.
