Early symptoms of inhaled anthrax resemble the common cold or flu.

In early cases, your medic or physician may not suspect anthrax and
mistakenly treat you for a cold or flu.

You may not know you are infected with anthrax until it’s too late.

It only takes 1 to 6 days after exposure for anthrax symptoms to develop.

Inhalational anthrax progresses very rapidly, and can kill within a day or two after initial symptoms appear.

If not treated immediately and aggressively in a state-of-art hospital center, once severe symptoms develop, 45% to 80% of patients could die.
