CAMP BABYLON, Iraq, Aug. 16, 2004 – Eight suspected anti-Iraqi force members were detained during an Iraqi Security Forces and Multinational Force joint operation in Karbala Aug. 16, according to Multinational Force Iraq officials.

The joint force also confiscated a large amount of ammunition and leaflets prepared by Muqtada Al Sadr’s supporters.

The mission of the joint operation was to search for illegal storages of weapons and ammunition and decrease the threat posed by AIF to the local population.
