TIKRIT, Iraq, June 7, 2004 — Members of the Iraqi Ministry of Health traveled from Diyala for the dedication ceremony of five new ambulances on June 6, 2004, according to 1st Infantry Division officials.
After an assessment of medical needs throughout the local
area, the Public Health Team, comprised of soldiers from
the division surgeon’s office and the 415th Civil
Affairs Battalion, chose several provinces to receive the
new vehicles.
“We are proud to present these ambulances to you and your community,” said Lt. Col. Michael Brumage, Division Surgeon for the 1st Infantry Division and Task Force Danger.
Once the team members conducted a brief vehicle inspection, the line of orange and white vans pulled away with lights flashing and sirens singing.
