Iraq's Science and Technology Ministry
Iraq Fact of the Day

Iraqis are now in control of the Ministry of Science and Technology. The Ministry is establishing computer and electronic communication standards, providing computer training for government employees, and planning information technology programs. The Ministry's new Food and Environmental Safety Laboratory will collect and analyze samples of foods, water, industrial waste, solid waste, and pharmaceuticals to assure compliance with Iraqi and international standards. These important services are back in Iraqi hands, and this transfer marks another milestone on the path to Iraq's sovereignty.
