The MSC has several how-to guides available online for free download. Look on our free documents page for guides on how to use Map Search and how to create FIRMettes.

LOMCs on the Web

The MSC now has LOMCs available for online viewing; tied to the map panels to which they apply. When you are viewing a summary panel listing that is a result of a Catalog query, Map Search, or Quick Search you will see an additional "plus sign" icon next to the view button if LOMCs exist for that panel. Clicking on the "plus sign" icon will expand a list of relevant LOMCs under that panel. You may click the view button next to a LOMC to view it the same way that you view a map panel.

Note: Online viewing is only available for LOMCs in digital form. The MSC has digital LOMCs issued from January 1997 through February 2004. For a listing of LOMCs older than 1997 please contact the MSC.

New DFIRM Viewer

Our new DFIRM Viewer is now available. This online GIS application will be continuously updated with DFIRM digital mapping data as the MSC receives it.

DFIRM Samples Now Available

Welcome to the New Flood Map Store

The MSC has upgraded the software that runs the Flood Map Store. The new technology we are introducing should be largely invisible to users but will allow us to add exciting new technologies in the future. You may notice some small changes to the layout or look and feel of the store. These design changes are intended to make using the store easier and more straightforward.

Major Changes

• All store users will now use their email address as their login ID. We have attempted to migrate user accounts with existing valid email addresses. If you have not supplied a proper email address before, simply register again with a valid email address. Please supply your MSC customer ID if you have one.
