Forest
Products Conservation & Recycling Personnel Directory
The FPC & R Directory is a state-by-state listing
of Forest Products Conservation and Recycling Personnel that was
last revised September 2000.
About This Directory
Within the State and Private Forestry branch of the USDA Forest
Service, the Forest Products Conservation & Recycling (FPC&R)
staff is a highly specialized group of technical professionals
with particular expertise in processing, converting, and adapting
forest resources into goods and services. These professionals are
also present in other Federal programs such as USDA's Extension
programs and the Department of Interior's Bureau of Indian Affairs
(BIA). However, the largest pool of professionals lies within the
State governments for utilization and marketing (U&M) of their
forest resources.
We have assembled the directory as a reference guide in locating
those professionals who can provide technical assistance and recommendations
for improvement in the areas of timber harvesting, processing,
and implementation of forest products as well as economic development,
recycling, small-diameter and underutilized species, special forest
products, and value-added product processing. The directory includes
a state-by-state listing of the following information as well as
Federal program listings.
State Forester
State U&M Specialist(s)
State Extension Specialist(s)
Regional Extension Specialist (if applicable)
USDA Forest Service Specialist(s)
