Downloads

The Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) is making the AHRQ Quality Indicators (QIs) software available without charge to hospitals and other users as SAS® and SPSS® programs with software documentation and guides that provide a synopsis of the evidence presented in the Refinement of the Healthcare Cost and Utilization Project (HCUP) Quality Indicators Technical Review and the Patient Safety Indicators Technical Review.  These documents are available in the Documentation section below.

Archives

Previous versions of the QIs, software and documentation for the QIs that are no longer updated or supported but may still be useful for replication purposes, can be downloaded here.

Documentation

The technical review of research underlying the development of the quality indicators is available here.  For research pertaining to the Prevention Quality Indicators and the Inpatient Quality see the Refinement of the HCUP Quality Indicators.  For research concerning the Patient Safety Indicators see the Measures of Patient Safety report.
