USJFCOM
as Joint Trainer
U.S.
military operations require precise choreography of air, ground,
sea, and space-based assets, and the instructions for using these
forces require extensive training in coordinating which forces are
deployed to support a mission, how they are transported, how they
are supplied, how they will fight, etc.
The
USJFCOM training mission supports both the chairman of
the Joint Chiefs of Staff as well as senior commanders
worldwide in meeting these training objectives.
USJFCOM
trains our military forces to ensure they are ready for
fighting battles as part of a joint team. We routinely
exercise these forces both in the field as well as through
the use of computer simulations, which model forces and
capabilities to allow commanders to exercise their decision-making
processes.
Both
of these training tools ensure our military forces
and
their commanders are ready to fight as part of a larger
team. At the same time, we routinely review our doctrine
and "lessons learned" to ensure our training program
can meet the challenges of the threats we can expect
to face
in the 21st century.
