The National Endowment for the Arts 2002 State Partnership Agreements support:

  • a Basic State Component, which provides funds that agencies can use to address priorities identified in each state's basic state plan.
  • an Arts Education Component, which supports those elements of a state's plan that address arts education.
  • an Arts in Underserved Communities Component, which supports those elements of a state's plan that foster the arts in rural, inner-city and other underserved communities.
  • a Challenge America Component, which provides funds to state arts agencies for new or expanded program activities that demonstrate the power of the arts to benefit families and communities.
