FEATURE STORY
A Journey from the Caspian
TDA's successful Caspian Ambassadors' tour recently completed a three-city swing visiting New Orleans, New York and Washington, D.C. This first-of-its-kind tour came on the heels of the newly opened Caspian Finance Center in Ankara, Turkey - a joint office for the three U.S. government trade finance agencies. With the cooperation of Ex-Im, OPIC, TDA and the U.S. Department of Commerce, this tour offered U.S. companies a unique opportunity to meet one-on-one with the American Ambassadors and their senior commercial officers to the region.

Rewarding Excellence
Nancy Frame, TDA's Deputy Director, has steadily and skillfully steered TDA through the booms and busts in international trade, never losing sight of the agency's core mission of creating U.S. jobs through exports. President Clinton recently paid tribute to her dedication when she was presented with the Presidential Rank Award, the highest honor bestowed on Senior Executive Service employees. Nominees are evaluated on their history of piloting change and leading people, business acumen, and contribution to good government and public trust.
The staff at TDA salutes Nancy for this accomplishment. We are all winners as a result of her hard work and dedication.
