Cherilyn Carruth, Congressional
Relations Advisor, comes to USTDA from the reelection campaign
of U.S. Senator John Warner, where she served as Deputy Campaign
Manager. Previously, she served as a fundraiser for President
George W. Bush and Senator George Allen. Cherilyn also has worked
on Capitol Hill for the Subcommittee on Trade of the House Ways
and Means Committee. She received her degree from Virginia Tech
University, where she double majored in Political Science and
Communications.
USTDA
is pleased to welcome (left to right) David Hester, Cherilyn Carruth,
Andrea Lupo, and Kenny Miller.

David Hester, Attorney-Advisor,
joins USTDA after receiving his LL.M in International and Comparative
Law from the Georgetown University Law Center. David was in private
practice prior to his entry into the International and Comparative
Law program. He received his B.A. and J.D. degrees from the University
of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Andrea Lupo, Country Manager
for Central and Eastern Europe, joins USTDA from the U.S. Department
of Commerce where she served as an International Trade Specialist.
Previously, she worked as a Senior Associate at Development Finance
International, Inc. in Bethesda, Maryland. Andrea holds a Master's
in International Affairs from The American University in Washington,
D.C.
Kenny Miller, Country Manager
for Latin America and the Caribbean, comes to USTDA as a Presidential
Management Intern from the University of Texas at Austin. Prior
to his arrival, he worked as the Director of an off-campus university
extension program in Belize focused on sustainable development
and environmental studies. Kenny holds Master's degrees in both
Public Affairs and Latin American Studies from the University
of Texas at Austin
Jennifer
Snyder, formerly a Country Manager in USTDA's Eurasia region,
is now Manager for Caspian Region Business Development.

Jennifer Snyder, previously
a Country Manager in the Eurasia region, has changed hats and
is now Manager for Caspian Region Business Development at USTDA's
regional office in Ankara, Turkey.
The USTDA family grew again at
the end of 2002 with the birth of three babies. Lance Ludman,
Manager for African Business Development, is the father of a
new baby, Sophia, who joins her sister, Emma, in the Ludman family.
Anne McKinney, Country Manager in the Latin America and the Caribbean
region, is the mother of a girl, Alicia, who joins her sister,
Maria Emma, at home. Ned Cabot, Regional Director for Central
and Eastern Europe, is the proud father of a daughter, Bonnie,
who joins her brother, Casey, in the Cabot family.
USTDA bids a fond farewell to
two country managers in the Latin America and the Caribbean region.
Gabriella Rigg left USTDA to accept a position as an International
Program Specialist in the NAFTA office of the Bureau of International
Labor Affairs at the U.S. Department of Labor. Jeremy Martin
moved to San Diego, California and is working for the Institute
of the Americas as Director of the Institute's Energy Program.
USTDA also sends best wishes
to Jeannette Miller, Director of Southeast Europe Business Development
who moved to Sri Lanka and recently gave birth to a boy, Alexsander,
and Abaseh Mirvali, Director of Caspian Business Development,
who relocated to the Washington, D.C. area from Turkey with her
husband.
