The Technical Cooperation Program (TTCP)
is an international organization that collaborates in defence
scientific and technical information exchange; program harmonization
and alignment; and shared research activities for the five nations
(Australia
, Canada,
New Zealand,
the United Kingdom,
and the United
States).
The overview covers some historical
background, the aims of the program, and how TTCP is organized.
The functional activities of TTCP are
described, as well as the definition of TTCP
technology demonstrators.
The latest news and information
on TTCP may be found here. Available downloads include TTCP
Logos and Graphics and the TTCP Roster
forms.
The tasks of TTCP are carried
out within the 10 Groups described on this page. Group
meeting schedules are also available.
The TTCP Achievement Awards recognize outstanding collaborative
defense research undertaken within TTCP. This page describes these
annual awards, and lists the selection of awards and associated
achievements.
The TTCP case studies and posters, available on this page,
describe particularly successful collaborative projects carried
out under TTCP. Templates are also provided for those who wish
to produce TTCP posters.
These are the documents that govern all of TTCP. The Memorandum
of Understanding (MOU) is the legal document that allows TTCP
to operate, and POPNAMRAD is the document that lays out the policies
and procedures for TTCP operation. An updated section on reporting
formats, markings and distribution is included.
A TTCP Project Arrangement (PA)
provides the formal authorization for a collaborative project.
PAs are used where the level of participants' interdependence
is so great, and the resource commitment so big, that the withdrawal
of resources of any participant would lead to major losses by
the other participants. A PA provides a mechanism to supplement
the more common 'best efforts' undertakings.
This page lists the contact details
for the TTCP Washington Deputies and Secretariat.
TTCP liaises with other military
research agencies and standardization groups to reduce duplication
of effort.
