Maj.
Gen. Dubik heads one of the command's newest directorates,
known as J-9, designated in 1998 by Secretary of Defense
William Cohen to be the Department of Defense's executive
agent for joint experimentation.
Experimentation
is the military's primary method for exploring, testing
and validating warfighting ideas and concepts to transform
the way U.S. soldiers, sailors, airmen and Marines fight
future battles.
J-9
integrates experimentation efforts of all the services
and unified commands. It is America's military transformation
laboratory.
Commissioned
as an infantry officer in 1971, Maj. Gen. Dubik has held
numerous assignments during his career, ranging from platoon
leader to commanding general of the 25th Infantry Division
(Light) at Schofield Barracks Hawaii.
He
holds a bachelors degree from Gannon University and masters
degrees from Johns Hopkins and the U.S. Army Command and
General Staff College. His decorations include awards
of the Legion of Merit, the Meritorious Service Medal,
the Army Commendation and Achievement Medals. He is also
authorized to wear the Expert Infantryman, Master Parachutrist
and Air Assault Badges as well as the Ranger Tab.
