The Human Resource Development Council
has recently published Getting Results Through
Learning, unofficially known as "The Little Green Book".
This handbook shows managers and human resources
practitioners how to develop a new perspective on
learning. It also explains the difference
between training and learning, and describes how to
introduce a climate of learning into every government
organization. The "Little Green Book" presents a series of techniques widely used in the private sector. It also includes sources of support and examples from the Federal government that can help build constant learning into everyday actions. You have three ways to obtain "The Little Green Book", you can:
(1) Get it off the Web for free, from the following location: http://www.opm.gov/hrd (2) Ride OPM printing requisition (Item No. 748). Send a SF-1 Requisition to the Government Printing Office (GPO) by October 3, 1997. (You will find the GPO address on the SF-1). Specify Item # 748, Getting Results Through Learning (T012-0000299), Edition Date 07/97. The cost for one copy of this 76-page publication will be approximately $1.00. The actual cost will be determined by the combined quantity ordered. Remember you must send your requisition in by October 3.
