Mail Matters
for Customers on the Move

If you own Treasury bills, notes, or bonds in TreasuryDirect, here's how to continue receiving your mail when you move to a new address . . .

If you move temporarily, such as from one home to another as the seasons change, your TreasuryDirect mail will forward automatically if you take one simple action. Designate your move as "temporary" when you submit your change of address information to the post office. Your mail will automatically forward, and there is no need to change the address on your account.

If you move permanently, your TreasuryDirect mail will not forward, even if you have filed a change of address with the post office. To be sure you get this important mail, you need to change the address listed on your account. You can do this by logging into our Virtual Lobby, or by calling 800-722-2678 and choosing Option #5 for a customer service representative (available 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., Eastern Time, Monday through Friday, except holidays).
