Enrico Fermi was an Italian atomic energy scientist, who along with Doctor Leo Szilard, designed a chain reactor system composed of uranium and graphite at the University of Chicago in 1942. The Enrico Fermi Institute is part of the University of Chicago. The Atomic Power Plant near Monroe, Michigan was named the Enrico Fermi Power Plant. The Enrico Fermi Award is the Atomic Energy Commission's highest honor Enrico Fermi was not the subject of an investigation by the FBI, but he is mentioned in other documents.
