I'm proud to represent the great state of Montana. Being born and bred in Montana, as well as coming from a sixth generation ranching family, has made me appreciate and value everything our state stands for. Montana is unlike any other state in this great nation. With our large land mass and spread out population, Montanans value our outdoor lifestyle and access to hunting and fishing. Everything I do as Montana's senior Senator is with the goal of protecting our state's heritage, as well as strengthening our economy and bringing more jobs to our state.

Lewis and Clark in Montana

Montana is an integral part of Lewis and Clark's Journey of Discovery. The State will host two national signature events during the Bicentennial Commemoration:
• July 3-4, 2005 Discovering the Big Sky in Great Falls, Montana
• July 25, 2006 Clark on the Yellowstone at Pompeys Pillar, Montana
