Technology Initiatives is a program
within the Technology Development Division of Argonne
National Laboratory. Our mission is to discover new
opportunities with growth potential which complement
or enhance our Division's core programs and the Laboratory
strategic thrust areas. Currently, we are exploring
opportunities in advanced computing, robotics, and laser
applications.

COMPUTING
TD is engaged in several computational activities
in support of Laboratory initiatives.

APPLICATIONS LAB
TD is performing research and development on laser
applications to a host of material problems.

ROBOTICS LAB
TD researchers are studying ways to enhance the
safety and utility of robotics in applications
such as nuclear plant decontamination and decommissioning.
