Activity
Highlights
•
Coordinating nationwide efforts to recover the
federally threatened bald eagle
• Provide expert
leadership on fish and wildlife conservation efforts
relative to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Upper
Mississippi River navigation mission
• Work cooperatively with the state
of Illinois and Iowa to offset fish and wildlife losses from release of
hazardous substances
• Provide
technical assistance for over 10,000-acres of fish
and wildlife habitat restoration on private lands via
the Wetland Reserve and Partners for Fish and
Wildlife programs
• Provide a
coordinator to the Upper Mississippi River
Conservation Committee which is dedicated to
cooperative fish and wildlife management among the
five border state of the Mississippi River
• Developed a
wildlife management plan for Savanna Army Depot as
part of base closure plan
