As NIH moves towards the goal of one-stop online recruitment, position vacancies are being advertised in a variety of places. During the transition of moving to one all-inclusive website, job-seekers can find NIH jobs on any of these three sites:

Scientific and clinical positions are also advertised as research and training Opportunities at these locations:

Senor executive positions are posted on the NIH Jobs website

To minimize the confusion created by our temporary use of multiple sites, here are some tips for those people looking for a new job or training opportunity at NIH:

The Best Place to Look

The NIH Jobs website (http://www.jobs.nih.gov/current.htm) has an extensive list of which jobs are being advertised where. For example, if you're looking for a job as a Police or Administrative Officer, HHS Careers has those. Most NIH vacancies are now advertised on HHS Careers, however if you're a Clinical Research Nurse or a Plumber, CareerHere is the place to look. For people who don't already work for NIH or HHS, the best place to look is on USAJobs. By doing a search by Agency, USAJobs will give you a list of all NIH jobs for external candidates. If you are looking for NIH scientific training opportunities, see the Research and Training Opportunities websites:

Get Notified

If you register with HHS Careers or USAJobs you can choose to be notified of any jobs that meet your search criteria. This is the quickest way to know when new vacancies are posted.
