PROJECT TITLE

Understanding TANF Outcomes in Context:

The Effects of Front-Line Assessment, Agency Characteristics,

and Local Economic / Demographic Factors

on Customer and Jurisdictional Level TANF Outcomes

 

 

Dr. Catherine Born (cborn@ssw.umaryland.edu) is the Director of the Welfare and Child Support Research and Training Group and is the study’s Principal Investigator.

 

Dr. Leanne Charlesworth (lcharles@ssw.umaryland.edu) is the project director and Dr. Mary Hyde (mhyde@ssw.umaryland.edu) is the senior project analyst.

 

 

This study is funded by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (Reference Grant No. 90PE0020). The grant award is to the Maryland Department of Human Resources and this year one report was prepared by the sub-contractor, the University of Maryland School of Social Work’s Welfare and Child Support Research and Training Group (525 West Redwood Street, Baltimore, Maryland, 21201). The authors would like to acknowledge the substantial contributions made to this report by Andree Catalfamo, Allison West, and David Wheitner.
