Building Performance Awareness of Lightweight Construction During Fires
Nationally applicable educational and demonstration materials to enhance firefighter awareness of the fire performance of different forms of lightweight construction components, such as trusses, glue laminated beams, I-joists, structural composite lumber, and wood structural panels.
Training materials to establish and maintain an effective CERT program. CERT training promotes a partnering effort between emergency services and the people that they serve. The goal is for emergency personnel to train members of neighborhoods, community organizations, or workplaces in basic response skills. CERT members are then integrated into the emergency response capability for their area.
EENET is a satellite-based distance learning system. This network can bring interactive training programs into virtually any community nationwide. With a wide variety of programs for the public safety community, there's something for everyone.
Provides a nationwide training program of resident courses and non-resident courses to enhance U.S. emergency management practices.
Resident and distance education courses to assist in the management of code development, evaluation and enforcement processes; management of fire prevention programs; implementing community-wide risk reduction activities; the conduct of fire safety inspections; analysis of building fire and life safety; and understanding of fire protection systems and equipment.
