Description

 

NASA/ARC plans to issue a Request for Offers (RFO) to repair the roof and HVAC in Buildings 200 and 201. The contractor will provide and install new HVAC equipment and re-roof the buildings including removal of existing and installation of new mechanical equipment, air handling units, air cooled chiller, fans, pumps, piping, ductwork, temperature controls, electrical, built-up roofing, asbestos and lead abatement. The order of magnitude for the procurement is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000 and the effort shall be completed within 270 calendar days after notice to proceed. THIS PROCUREMENT IS A TOTAL HUBZONE BUSINESS SET-ASIDE. See Note 1. The NAICS Code and small business size standard for this procurement are 238220 and $12,000,000, respectively. The anticipated release date of the RFO is on or about December 11, 2003, with an anticipated offer closing date of on or about January 13, 2004. The firm date for receipt of bids or proposals will be stated in the RFO. SPECIFICATIONS AND DRAWINGS WILL ONLY BE MADE AVAILABLE ON CDROM. All requests for copies shall be made by e-mail to Teresa.A.Marshall@nasa.gov. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency. The contract will be awarded to the firm providing the offer with the best value to the Government based on price and technical factors as defined in the solicitation. An ombudsman has been appointed -- See NASA Specific Note "B". The solicitation and any documents related to this procurement [with the exception of the specifications and drawings] will be available over the Internet. These documents will be in Microsoft Office 97 format and will reside on a World-Wide Web (WWW) server, which may be accessed using a WWW browser application. Prospective offerors shall notify this office of their intent to submit an offer.
