The NASA Glenn Research Center (GRC) plans to issue a Request for Quote (RFQ) for a two-dimensional simulation study of wide-bandgap heterojunction devices for microwave power amplifiers, (SiC and GaN). NASA GRC has been working in the field of wide-bandgap semiconductor devices for future high frequency, high power devices. NASA GRC will be using the software package from SILVACO DATA SYSTEMS, INC., and seek to continue along this path. The solicitation will be for simulation services using the above mentioned software.
This procurement is being conducted under Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP).
The Government does not intend to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. See note 26.
This procurement is a total small business set-aside. See Note 1.

The anticipated release date of RFQ NNC04066838Q is on or about Tuesday June 22, 2004 with an anticipated quote due date of on or about Thursday July 1, 2004.
All responsible sources may submit a quote which shall be considered by the agency.
