THIS SOLICITATION IS FOR SMALL BUSINESSES SET-ASIDE ONLY.

NASA/MSFC has a requirement for A Mag-Lev Turbopump System with Digital Controller. NASA is looking to procure two (2) Osaka TG2400MBWG Mag-Lev compound turbo-molecular pump package (oil free system) or equivalent. Listed are the specifications that equivalent pumps must meet.

Bearing system: 5-axis active magnetic suspension bearing Cooling: water (factory installed) Protective Screen:Inlet screen factory installed (4mm X 4mm size) Pumping Speed: 2400 liters/sec Nitrogen 2100 liters/sec Argon 1100 liters/sec Hydrogen Compression Ratio: 1x10^8 for Nitrogen Ultimate Pressure: <10^-8 torr Max. Backing Press: 1.5 torr Throughput: 3000 std cc/min (for nitrogen) Startup time: 5 minutes or less Shut down time: 5 minutes or less Bake-out temp: up to 120 deg C on the inlet flange Vibration peak: less then or equal to 0.006 Micron peak to peak Rotational speed: 31200 rpm Installation Position: Any Purge port: ISO-G1/4 standard connection (factory installed) Cooling water flow: 1.5 liter/min or greater Cooling water temp: 10 to 35 deg C Ambient temp: 10 to 40 deg C (for operation) Inlet Flange: DN250ISO-B(Bolted)or ISO-B250 Outlet Flange: KF40

This notice is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation, which is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ); quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12 and the Simplified Acquisition Procedures set forth in FAR Part 13.
