Description
 
NASA/MSFC has a requirement for Globe Valve - Y Pattern. The specifications are as follows:

Type: Globe Valve - Y Patter Service: Liquid Oxygen Design Temperature: -297 Deg F. to 150 Deg F Maximum Inlet Pressure: 6,000 psig Minimum Outlet Pressure: 6,000 psig Body Size 2 inch End Connections: 2GR14 Grayloc Body material: Stainless Steel Cv: 35 Trim: proportional plug/equal percentage Max Press. Across valve: 6,000 psig Type of Actuator: Electrohydraulic Operating Pressure of Actuator: 2,500 psig Mod of Operation: Hydraulic - Failed Closed Stoke Time: 0.5 seconds

Accessories:

This valve is to be supplied with a Moog Servo Unit to be compatible with flow requirements. The valve stem position feedback device shall be a Collins Linear Voltage Differential Transformer equipped as follows:

Internal Modulator/Demodulator (DCDT) 22 mA maximum at 24 vp;ts exitation Dielectric strength 500 volts D.C. between windings and case -65 degrees F to 250 degrees F temperature range Zero Null Voltage Linearity: 1 percent of full stoke Scale Factor: 10 +/- 1 v/in. (No Load) 24 volt D.C. Input 24" Leads, Red & Black Input, yellow & blue output Yellow is positive with respect to blue when probe is at the end of the stroke nearest the leads

This notice is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation, which is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ); quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Offerors are required to use the On-Line RFQ system to submit their quote. The On-line RFQ system is linked above or it may be accessed at http://prod.nais.nasa.gov/cgi-bin/eps/bizops.cgi?gr=C&pin;= . The information required by FAR Subpart 12.6 is included in the on-line RFQ.

The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12 and the Simplified Acquisition Procedures set forth in FAR Part 13.

Questions regarding this acquisition must be submitted in writing no later than July 13, 2004 to artra.c.house@nasa.gov. It is the quoter's responsibility to monitor this site for the release of amendments (if any). Potential quoters will be responsible for downloading their own copy of this notice, the on-line RFQ and amendments (if any).
