Arcata Associates, Inc. intends to procure via Limited Competition with Cisco Systems or a Cisco Systems Authorized Reseller, on an emergency basis, Smartnet Hardware and Software maintenance support services for Cisco Brand Name Routed Data equipment. This equipment provides critical Internet connectivity between various NASA sites across the United States of America. Vendors must be capable of supporting all of the requirements listed in the Statement of Work, for 8x5xNBD(Next Business Day), 24x7x 4 Hr response maintenance, and Software Applications Support. Arcata Associates / SAIC-UNITeS is responsible for providing equipment & services to the NASA customer, under the Unified NASA Information Technology Services Contract (UNITeS). The Period of Performance will be-- One (1) Base Year, Two (2) One (1) Year Options, and One (1) Fourteen (14) Month Option, from 11/01/04 thru 12/ 31/08. (If all options are exercised). This is an all or none procurement.
Arcata Associates, Inc. intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12.
Interested firms have until October 01, 4:00 PM CDST to submit proposals to the identified point of contact, in response to the attached Request for Proposal, and all associated paper work per the special instructions. Responses received after October 01, 2004, 4:00 PM CDST without the required information, will be considered non-responsive to the synopsis/solicitation and will not be considered.
This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested per the attached Request for Proposal (RFP). Also attached are the Arcata Associates Representation and Certifications and Terms and Conditions which must be completed in order for the vendor to be considered responsive.
