Arcata Associates, Inc. (Arcata/UNITeS), performing under Prime Contract NNM04AA02C, intends to acquire, on a open and competitive basis, a Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS) mobile Personal Digital Assistant (PDA) application software package in support of the NASA MSFC Facilities Engineering Department (FED). This acquisition is being conducted under an expedited basis. The product shall interface with the existing MAXIMO based Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and will provide a mobile capability to the FED workforce to improve Work order, Preventive Maintenance, Inventory, and Asset Managment functions.
This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP).
Arcata/UNITeS intends to acquire a commercial item/services using FAR Part 12.
Interested firms have twenty (20) days until 20 October 2004, 4:00 PM CDST, to submit in writing their proposals to the identified point of contact. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation, as proposals are being requested per the attached Cover Letter, Request for Proposal (RFP), and Technical Specification, which are located in the attached WORD files.
